IT System & Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated IT System & Support Engineer to join Lamco Services’ IT team.

In this role, you will support and maintain our internal and customer-facing infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and continuous improvement across a dynamic environment that spans traditional office IT, software development, and cloud services.

As part of Lamco’s role as a managed service provider (MSP) within our group of companies, you’ll help deliver consistent, high-quality IT operations while keeping documentation, planning, and compliance at the core of your work.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, learns quickly, and can balance working independently with collaborating effectively within a small but professional team.

Key Responsibilities

Operational IT Support

• Provide responsive and effective support for users, systems, and applications.

• Diagnose and resolve incidents across servers, endpoints, networks, and applications.

System & Network Administration

• Maintain and support Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory, and network infrastructure.

• Manage user accounts, access rights, and device configurations according to security and compliance requirements.

Cloud & Application Management

• Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

• Support suppliers offerings on AWS environments.

• Deploy, update, and maintain applications used across both office and development teams.

Structured Work & Documentation

• Maintain clear documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes.

• Contribute to planning and progress tracking for small projects and operational improvements.

Security & Compliance Support

• Apply IT security and compliance practices in daily operations, including patching, access control, and backup validation.

• Follow established processes to maintain readiness for ISO27001 and related requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Research

• Investigate new tools, solutions, and best practices to improve reliability, security, and efficiency

• Propose improvements based on findings and help pilot selected technologies.

Team Collaboration & Autonomy

• Work independently on assigned tasks, while coordinating effectively with the IT Manager and colleagues across the organization.

• Support team objectives and share knowledge to strengthen the overall IT capability.

Ideal Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Ideally 1–3 years in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.

• A motivated freshly graduated person with strong technical skills and the right mindset will also be considered.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows environments; basic Linux and networking understanding (VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS.

• Experience with IT service tools (ticketing, remote support, monitoring).

• Awareness of cybersecurity practices (patching, access control, backups).

• Understanding of the needs of both office environments and software/hardware development teams.

Soft Skills

• Eager to learn and stay up to date with evolving technologies.

• Able to work independently when needed, and contribute effectively in a team.

• Highly structured, organized, and disciplined in documentation and time management.

• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.

• Curious and proactive in investigating and proposing new solutions.
